Welcome to our Victorian-style Estate, lush with gardens and rich in history. In the 1800s, the land on which Highgate sits was owned by The University of Georgia as the original site for its campus (1800s). The estate was passed through generations until 2001, when new owners took over and began the restoration - pouring their efforts into the home and garden. The English-cottage style gardens surrounding the property are the result of 20 years worth of effort, growing and nurturing the plants with care.
Our goal is for you to experience the magical feeling of reconnecting with nature and stepping back in time to simpler days. Whether you are visiting to explore our charming small town or to escape for the day to Lake Oconee, we invite you to rest and restore at our Bed & Breakfast.

"We spent 2 nights here during Masters week. The home had tons of southern charm and was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch in the evening taking in all the beautiful, pristine gardens. Breakfasts were also great. Would definitely return and highly recommend. BTW their wedding venue is really cool!"
